To develop a unique brand identity with undertones of skateboarding, snowboarding and surfing reflected within the design. The logo needed to be versatile so it could be used effectively across all consumer facing platforms. Everything from social media through to surface graphics of the product needed to be considered when developing the brand identity.
Working closely with the client we developed multiple routes each exploring the various ways that land and sea sports could be brought together in an all emcompassing logo design. The route that stood out the most was one that not only held symbols of these two environments but also had a nod towards the older surf and skateboard graphics from the early years. This provided the brand with an edgy but earthy feel to it and in some ways, dare I say it, a hint of hipster which suited the general themes of the company and the product it represents.
