About this project
The view you are looking at is of each record sleeve fully opened out.
Samuson Records represents all that is good out of country living and music producing, with the main man behind the controls, Sam Lane. Samuson Records brings a defined sound incorporating a whole host of different genres. In this album, “The Lost Project”, he has worked with an MC to create his first hip-hop album. The values behind him as a producer are that he is a man from the country, involved in organic sounds with a different upbringing to the mainstream hip-hop producer.
The album has been designed in a way to make it stand away from the mainstream aesthetic and give it its own class. What you see here is the front and back of each sleeve opened up. I wanted to display the origins of the sound but also involve images from the industry that it relates to. I spent time out in Berkshire shooting photos of bits and bobs around his studio and the landscapes it was situated in then proceeded to put them all together in a linear format.
